International Cooperation Programs

HUIT is implementing various cooperation programs in education and research with the aim of internationalizing human resources in the fields of science and technology, enhancing teaching and research capacity, and strengthening global partnerships. Some of the key international cooperation activities at HUIT include:

  • International collaboration in scientific research and technology transfer;
  • International cooperation in high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate training programs;
  • Collaboration with domestic and international enterprises;
  • Organization of international conferences and seminars;
  • Exchange programs for students, staff, and faculty, etc.

In addition, HUIT effectively utilizes funding from sponsors. Typical international projects and cooperation activities are presented below:


Research Collaboration

  • Molecular characteristics and genetic variation of longan in Southern Vietnam (in collaboration with EU partners);
  • Treatment of mycotoxins in Vietnamese agricultural products to reduce human exposure (in collaboration with Belgian partners);
  • Research on enhancing food safety and security for rice and maize: Strategies for prevention and control of spoilage fungi in Vietnamese agricultural products (in collaboration with EU partners).

HUIT has also received support in the form of advanced laboratory equipment to serve teaching and learning activities for faculty and students, including:

  • TOKAN Holdings Co., Ltd. (Japan) sponsored an automotive exhaust gas analyzer system;
  • Sheng Bang Co., Ltd. (Taiwan) provided five advanced high-tech 3D printers;
  • The Vietnam–Germany Training Institute was established under a cooperation agreement between KHS GmbH (Germany) and HUIT, etc.

Training Cooperation

Every year, the university offers numerous scholarships, internships, and exchange opportunities for students, staff, and faculty members, including:

 

  • Over 30 visiting professors and lecturers from international partners;
  • More than 200 international delegations visiting the university;
  • Over 50 students sent abroad for study and exchange programs;
  • Hundreds of students participating in study visits or internships at companies and factories in Vietnam;
  • Implementation of 4 international joint training programs at the undergraduate level (2+2 model: 2 years at HUIT and 2 years abroad), including majors such as Food Science and Nutrition, Biotechnology, Business Administration, and Tourism. To date, approximately 150 HUIT students are studying abroad under these programs.
