From July 13 to 14, 2026, a delegation from Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade (HUIT), led by Meritorious Teacher, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Xuan Hoan, Ph.D – Rector of the University, conducted working sessions with leaders of several universities in Japan, including Okayama University of Science, Osaka Seikei University, and Hyogo University (Ryutsu Kagaku Daigaku). The visits aimed to discuss cooperation in training, scientific research, and expanding international learning opportunities for HUIT students.
During the visit, the HUIT delegation toured the facilities, laboratories, and several typical applied research models at the partner institutions. The parties focused on discussing the potential implementation of 2+2 joint training programs, short-term student exchange programs, and research collaboration in key fields such as engineering, technology, applied sciences, Food Technology, Tourism, Logistics, Business, and Management.
At Okayama University of Science, the delegation visited laboratories, models for integrated marine and freshwater fish farming, an archaeological research area, and various applied science models. Both sides discussed the potential for implementing a 2+2 joint training program in the fields of engineering and technology.

The discussed contents received positive consensus, opening up many prospects for practical cooperation between HUIT and these Japanese universities in the near future. Through this business trip, HUIT continues to expand its international partner network, diversify joint training programs, and promote student exchanges. This serves as an important foundation for the University to enhance its training quality toward international standards while providing HUIT students with more opportunities for study, research, and experience in an advanced educational environment in Japan.
