The establishment of the journal marks a significant milestone in enhancing the quality of scientific publications and strengthening the University's academic standing within the global research community.

STI is designed as an international academic platform for scientists, lecturers, experts, researchers, doctoral candidates, and postgraduate students from Vietnam and around the world to share cutting-edge research achievements, promote scientific collaboration, and disseminate knowledge that contributes to sustainable development.

An International Academic Platform for Science and Innovation

The Journal of Scientific and Technological Innovations (STI) welcomes original research papers across a broad range of scientific and technological disciplines, including:

- Food Science and Technology;

- Biotechnology;

- Environmental Science;

- Chemistry and Chemical Engineering;

- Materials Science and other interdisciplinary research fields.

The journal particularly encourages submissions in emerging areas such as green technologies, energy transition, advanced materials, artificial intelligence in science, the circular economy, next-generation food technologies, and innovative solutions that support sustainable development—fields that are receiving increasing attention from the global scientific community.

International Standard Publishing Process

STI is published on the ARPHA scholarly publishing platform developed by Pensoft Publishers, utilizing a modern and transparent manuscript management system.

All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential to ensure fairness and objectivity. Each manuscript is evaluated by independent experts in the relevant field before any publication decision is made.

In addition, STI strictly adheres to internationally recognized standards of publication ethics in accordance with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), DOAJ, WAME, OASPA, and ICMJE, ensuring transparency, integrity, and academic excellence in every published article.

Open Access Publishing Model (Open Access)

The Journal of Scientific and Technological Innovations adopts a fully Open Access publishing model, enabling readers worldwide to access, read, download, and use published articles immediately upon publication without any subscription or access fees.

All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license. Authors retain the copyright to their work while allowing the scientific community to freely use, share, and cite their publications, provided appropriate attribution is given.

No Article Processing Charges

To encourage scientific research and scholarly publishing, STI does not charge Article Processing Charges (Article Processing Charges – APC).

All publication costs are fully funded by Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade (HUIT), enabling authors to publish their research in an international scientific journal without incurring publication fees.

Authors may also choose to use optional support services, including English language editing, science communication, and scientific illustration design, to further enhance the quality and visibility of their research. These services are entirely voluntary and have no influence on the peer-review process or publication decisions.

Towards International Journal Standards

The establishment of STI not only creates an additional high-quality publication venue but also demonstrates HUIT's strong commitment to developing a journal that meets international standards in academic governance, peer-review quality, research ethics, and digital publishing.

In its development roadmap, STI aims to progressively satisfy the criteria required by major international indexing systems, with a particular focus on achieving inclusion in the Scopus database. This strategic direction is expected to enhance the journal's academic reputation, expand the international visibility of Vietnamese research, and further strengthen HUIT's research capacity and academic standing within the higher education sector.
