On the morning of May 10, 2026, at Da Phi Co Sports Complex, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade (HUIT) solemnly held the Closing Ceremony of the 2026 Trade Union Sports Festival. After more than one month of exciting competition, the sports festival concluded with remarkable impressions of sportsmanship and solidarity among officials, lecturers, and staff members across the University.

This year’s sports festival recorded an impressive scale, with nearly 500 athletes from 35 unit-level Trade Union groups across the University. The athletes competed in 10 diverse sports, including badminton, pickleball, football, volleyball, table tennis, electronic shooting, tug of war, sack jumping, slow bicycle racing, and Chinese chess.

Speaking at the ceremony, Meritorious Teacher, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoan warmly congratulated the success of the Sports Festival. In particular, he emphasized that this year recorded the highest number of participating athletes to date, demonstrating the strong development of the sports movement among the University’s officials and staff members. He also praised the athletes for competing in the spirit of solidarity, honesty, nobility, and progress, bringing audiences many thrilling and professionally impressive matches.

The HUIT Trade Union Sports Festival 2026 successfully fulfilled its goal of creating a playground for health training and strengthening solidarity and exchange among trade union members and employees.
