The “Best University Library” is a voting competition for the most favourite library organized by Top Students with the sponsorship from Youth Development Fund (FYE) and the other sponsors such as ACCA - Think Ahead (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), Alpha Book.

The competition aims to a level and polite playing field for all students; as well as to provide some useful information on all Vietnam universities to everyone. It was attended over 200 universities and colleges, including Ho Chi Minh City University of Food Industry Library (HUFI Library).  

With 1700 m², HUFI Library is notable for its 4-floor building and modern learning commons. The building where can seat more than 600 library users aims to inspire students and lecturers in their studying and research.

HUFI Library pioneers to keep up to date with RFID technology in terms of managing and controlling our services, such as return station, self-check station, security gate, RFID documents. Modern equipment supports library users by checking or borrowing/returning materials to improve self-service, privacy and initiative for users.

Besides of modern equipment, indoor furniture is designed by main bright colors that create a luxurious, inspirational and creative space. Particularly, library users can find out in-person space for such as reading, studying, teamwork, workshop, presentation, cultural experience, and some other of activities in the library.

In addition, HUFI Library not only offers the users a wide variety of accessible information resources, but also links and shares international and national online databases. They are available for easily and effectively choosing method of reading, checking documents, researching or doing teamwork anytime and anywhere.

There were many teams from universities and colleges registered the "Best University Library" and a large number of voting for the most library from readers. Especially, there were over 18,000 votes at the semi-final contest - one of the most exciting and important round. HUFI Library was very confident when attending this race. The final result met all expectations that HUFI Library became the champion of "Most Favourite Library 2020". The champion victory came from not only many strengths of HUFI Library, but also the great contributions of voters to HUFI Library.

The "Best University Library" competition closed up and the winner was HUFI. Along with this contest, HUFI Library has promoted its good image to a large number of readers inside and outside HUFI; and to prove that HUFI has been more and more growing as well as improving the teaching, learning and research facilities for lecturers and students.
