On February 29, 2020, Ho Chi Minh City University of Food Industry (HUFI) held the the 1st time of 2020 ceremony of seeing-off students of the 2 + 2 joint training program between HUFI and Meiho University (Taiwan) to study phase II.

Attending the ceremony were Dr. Hung-Kai Yen - Head of Office of International and Cross-Strait Affairs (Meiho University) and Dr. Dang Tan Hiep - Director of Institute for International Cooperation and Training (HUFI).
On April 10, 2014, the Minister of Education and Training issued Decision No. 1219/QD-BGDDT on approving of the implementation of the joint training programs 2 + 2 between HUFI and Meiho University. Following these joint programs, the students will study 2 years at HUFI; last 2 years in Taiwan and get the Taiwan University’s diploma which is recognised by Ministry of Education & Training, Vietnam.
Since 2014, HUFI has trained and organized many seeing-off ceremonies for over 200 students to study and get bachelor's degrees of Nutrition and Food Science (FSN), Administration Business (BA) and Biotechnology and Science (BST) at Meiho University.
One of the outstanding advantages of international joint programs at HUFI is that the students can receive a foreign bachelor's degree with high quality, high reputation and recognized globally but low cost; international standard programs and materials; experienced and highly qualified foreign and Vietnam lecturers; internship at foreign enterprises.
The number of nearly 100 graduation students from the off-shore program 2 + 2 is the proof for that the undergraduate students at this program with practical knowledge and foreign language can receive graduation scholarships at other prestigious universities in the world. Besides, the graduation students who want to go for work also confirmed the quality of education training through their abilities and high income level in the working conditions of multinational enterprises or companies.
The seminar on studying in Taiwan
Dr. Hung-Kai Yen shared some information on Taiwan's medical conditions and health care for students and their relatives to understand and feel safe. That health services are better care in the timely coronavirus. Besides, the previous day is February 28, 2020, Ms. Au Quy Hy - Secretary of Education Division of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City - also presented a seminar on studying in Taiwan to provide some notices and knowledges of protective measures against the new coronavirus to students of the 2+ 2 joint program of HUFI before coming to Taiwan.
By order of HUFI’s Manager Board, Dr. Dang Tan Hiep gave to the students leaving for studying in Taiwan at 1st time of 2020 the best wishes that to be healthy, confident, try to study with high results to promote the spirits of HUFI students and ambassadors for the image of Vietnam citizens abroad.
With encouraging results at running on the joint training programs 2 + 2 in past years, in 2020, HUFI continues to enroll the program at 180 targets in the field of Food Science and Nutrition (FSN), Biological Science and Technology (BST) and Business Administration (BA).
