On April 13, 2026, at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade (HUIT), Dr. Thai Doan Thanh – Vice President of the University – hosted and held a working session with Mr. Kevin Tsai – Vice President of Chinese Culture University (Taiwan), to discuss and orient cooperation in training and academic development.

During the meeting, Dr. Thai Doan Thanh emphasized that in its development strategy, HUIT consistently identifies international cooperation as one of its key priorities, particularly in training, scientific research, and academic exchange. The University continuously expands its network of reputable partners to provide students with access to a modern learning environment, enhance their international integration capacity, and increase career opportunities after graduation. In addition, HUIT focuses on developing high-quality joint training programs aligned with global human resource development trends.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Kevin Tsai stated that Taiwan is currently one of the attractive destinations for Vietnamese students due to its high-quality education system, friendly learning environment, and reasonable costs. After his research, he highly appreciated HUIT’s academic reputation, practical-oriented training approach, and dynamic international cooperation activities. He also noted that the two institutions share many similarities in training fields, especially in majors such as Chinese Language and International Business, which provide a solid foundation for effective cooperation in the coming period.

Chinese Culture University (CCU) is one of the reputable private universities in Taiwan, established in 1962 and located in Taipei. The university has a scale of more than 30,000 students, offering multidisciplinary programs from undergraduate to postgraduate levels, with strengths in languages, culture, business, and communication. CCU also maintains an extensive international cooperation network with more than 200 partner institutions worldwide, creating favorable conditions for students to engage in global learning and academic exchange.
On this basis, the two universities agreed to implement an international 2+2 joint training program in Chinese Language and International Business. Under the program, students will study the first two years at HUIT and the remaining two years at Chinese Culture University, thereby reducing study costs while ensuring access to an international learning environment. In particular, the program is expected to include preferential tuition policies and student support, facilitating participation for learners.
Both parties reached an agreement to develop a joint training cooperation program.
The two sides also discussed the potential expansion of cooperation in other areas such as faculty and student exchange, international scientific conferences, research collaboration, and the development of short-term training programs. These initiatives are considered important steps to enhance training quality while promoting academic and cultural exchange between the two institutions.
The meeting took place in an open and constructive atmosphere, achieving several important agreements. The establishment of cooperation between HUIT and Chinese Culture University not only expands international learning opportunities for students but also affirms the University’s strong commitment to global integration in its new development stage.
