On the afternoon of April 20, 2026, at Hall C, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade (HUIT) solemnly held the Graduation and Degree Conferment Ceremony for Doctoral, Master’s, Engineering, and Bachelor’s graduates – Phase 1, 2026, with the attendance of the University Board of Rectors, lecturers, guests, parents, and a large number of graduate students and graduating students. The ceremony marked an important milestone, recognizing the learning and training journey of more than 3,000 doctoral candidates, graduate students, and students across different training programs, while also opening a new chapter in the career development journey of the new graduates.

Attending the ceremony, on the guest side, the University was honored to welcome Prof. Dr. Dong Thi Anh Dao, Senior Lecturer at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education, who served as the academic supervisor of the new doctoral graduate.
Representing Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade were: Meritorious Teacher, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoan – Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the University; Dr. Phan Xuan Cuong – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Head of the Office of Student Affairs; Meritorious Teacher, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Hong Anh – Vice President of the University; Dr. Thai Doan Thanh – Vice President of the University, together with leaders of units, lecturers, staff members, parents, relatives, and all graduate students and students attending the ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony, Meritorious Teacher, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoan, President of the University, congratulated the new graduates and emphasized the role of adaptability in the new context: “A graduation degree is the result of a long process of effort, but it is also the starting point of a new journey. In a constantly changing world, self-learning ability, adaptability, and a sense of responsibility will be the decisive factors for each individual’s success.” He also encouraged the new graduates to continue learning, improve their qualifications, promote their professional competence, and make positive contributions to society.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the University honored and conferred the degree upon Dr. Hoang Thi Ngoc Nhon, the first doctoral candidate to graduate from HUIT’s doctoral training program. This event not only carried personal significance but also marked an important milestone affirming the University’s new development in postgraduate education and scientific research. Sharing at the ceremony, Dr. Hoang Thi Ngoc Nhon said: “The journey toward a doctoral degree has never been easy… but the greatest value lies not only in the degree itself, but in the process of building resilience and research thinking. In the context of rapidly advancing science and technology, a university degree will no longer be a ‘guarantee’ for the future; lifelong learning is an inevitable requirement for adaptation and development.”

Representing the graduating students, new bachelor Võ Nguyễn Thiên Kim expressed heartfelt gratitude to the lecturers and families: “None of us could have reached today on our own… Behind every step of growth has been the steadfast presence of our teachers and families.” Reflecting on the learning journey, Thiên Kim shared: “There were times when we wanted to give up… but we are still here. Not because we were never weak, but because we chose not to stop.” This message left a deep emotional impression and strong resonance among all attendees.

Within the framework of the ceremony, the University announced the decisions recognizing graduation and conferred degrees upon the new master’s graduates, engineers, and bachelors. These are exemplary faces representing the spirit of proactive learning and relentless effort of HUIT students.
