On the morning of March 19, 2026, together with the Vietnam E-Commerce Association (VECOM), Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade (HUIT) organized a working session for professional exchange and the presentation of scholarships to outstanding students. The event reflected the close connection and strong commitment to long-term cooperation between the two sides.

Attending the event on behalf of the Vietnam E-Commerce Association were Mr. Trần Văn Trọng, Secretary General of the Association; Mr. Nguyễn Minh Đức, Deputy Secretary General of the Association; and Mr. Nguyễn Tấn Phong, Head of the Inspection Board and Chief Representative of the Southern Office. Also present as a guest was Mr. Huỳnh Khánh Vũ, Director of BSH Saigon, under Saigon – Hanoi Insurance Corporation (BSH).
Representing Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade were Dr. Thái Doãn Thanh, Vice Rector of the University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Văn Ít, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce; along with heads and deputy heads of faculties and administrative units.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Thái Doãn Thanh, Vice Rector of the University, warmly welcomed the enterprise representatives and expressed his hope that the cooperation between VECOM and the University would continue to be further strengthened through more programs aimed at enhancing Vietnam’s e-commerce activities in general and improving the quality of human resources for the country in particular.
To help both sides better understand one another and facilitate future planning, Mr. Trần Văn Trọng, Secretary General of the Vietnam E-Commerce Association, outlined three key objectives: promoting closer coordination, fostering experience sharing among lecturers, and strengthening connections between the University and the business community. At the same time, he emphasized the importance of expanding opportunities for stronger engagement between students and enterprises.
Introducing the project “Scholarships for 15 Universities that are Members of the Vietnam E-Commerce Association,” Mr. Huỳnh Khánh Vũ, Director of BSH Saigon, affirmed that the scholarships awarded to the University’s students were a recognition of their tireless efforts. More importantly, he expressed his hope that these outstanding students would make the best possible use of the scholarships to further develop their strengths.

In order to further motivate promising young talents at HUIT, the Vietnam E-Commerce Association and Saigon – Hanoi Insurance Corporation decided to award special scholarships to the most outstanding students from the Faculty of Commerce. These were five exemplary students distinguished by impressive achievements and a strong passion for the digital economy. The scholarships serve as a key to helping them enhance their knowledge and gain access to modern tools and expertise from specialists.
