On the morning of October 13, 2025, at Tay Thanh High School, a comprehensive cooperation signing ceremony took place between Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry (HUIT) and Tay Thanh High School. The two institutions officially joined hands in areas such as career orientation, admissions, training, and scientific research, with the shared goal of expanding learning, research, and creative opportunities for high school students.

Dr. Thái Doãn Thanh, Vice Rector of HUIT, and M.A. Nguyễn Vân Yên, Principal of Tây Thạnh High School, jointly signed the memorandum of understanding, opening a new chapter of connection between secondary education and higher education, where knowledge and creativity go hand in hand.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Thái Doãn Thanh, Vice Rector of HUIT, emphasized: “HUIT hopes to provide high school students with opportunities for career orientation and practical experiences so that they can recognize their strengths and passions early on and prepare for the future from today.”

No longer merely visitors, the students truly stepped into the role of HUIT undergraduates: attending classes in university lecture halls, joining lessons with lecturers, exploring creative spaces, practicing in laboratories, and interacting with students currently studying at the University.
From modern learning spaces to the studio, from technology laboratories to the innovation and startup area, every experience offered students a fresh perspective on university life.

The program “A Day as a HUIT Student” is the first step within the cooperation framework between the two institutions, aiming toward the development of scientific research programs for high school and university students. This is a bridging model between general education and higher education, enabling students to gain early access to research thinking, scientific methods, and the spirit of innovation and creativity.
