On November 9, 2021, Ho Chi Minh city University of Food Industry (HUFI) held Launching Ceremony of the official survey to serve external evaluation of three undergraduate programs at headquarter campus according to the agreed plan at October 28, 2021 preliminary survey.

The survey by the external evaluation delegation of Center for Educational Quality Assessment, Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City was focused on education quality evaluation of three undergraduate programs including Finance and Banking, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Aquatic Products Processing Technology according to Circulars No. 04/2016/TT-BGDĐT dated March 14, 2016 issued by the Ministry of Education and Training on quality assessment standards for higher education programs.

In the Official Survey, on the side Center for Educational Quality Assessment, Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City, there were: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hong - Head of the external evaluation delegation; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Nam – Standing Member; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Dai Nghiep - Standing Member; MA. Luu Khanh Linh - Secretary and together with its members including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ba Hoang, Dr. Duong Ngoc Hao, Dr. Nguyen Thi Huyen, MA. Vu Duy Cuong.

On the side of HUFI, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoan - President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Phuoc - Dean of Faculty of Finance and Accountancy; Dr. Do Huu Hoang - Dean of Faculty of Mechanical Technology; MA. Pham Viet Nam - Vice Dean of Faculty of Fisheries; MA. Duong Hoang Kiet – Vice Director of Center of Quality Assurance and together with lecturers of surveyed programs.

Opening the ceremony, on behalf of Center for Educational Quality Assessment, MA. Luu Khanh Linh - Secretary announced the Decision on establishment and members of the External Evaluation Delegation for three training programs of HUFI.

The representative of HUFI, President Nguyen Xuan Hoan warmly thanked the supports from the External Evaluation Delegation and introduced HUFI overviews such as organizational structure, training programs/levels, vision, mission, international and national cooperation and recent achievements. He also emphasized HUFI focused on quality accreditation and promoting learning and achievement through self-assessment on educational institution and training programs.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hong - Head of the external evaluation delegation briefly introduced about the set of quality assessment standards and approved the working program. Thereby, the representative of the external evaluation delegation committed to uphold the spirit of objectivity, transparency, professionalism, quality, and implement tasks in accordance with the regulations and processes of the Ministry of Education and Training with the aims to offer the effectiveness in HUFI’s quality improvement.

Next, the Deans of faculties relevant with surveyed programs reported the overview of faculties, scientific research, and support activities.

Following the working program, the external evaluation delegation will research at self-assessment records, evidence documents, working directly with key officials, attending the learning class, interviewing with the relevant groups including the deans of faculties and science - training councils, office leaders, lecturers, support staff, learners, alumni, employers). The official survey at HUFI took place from November 9 to November 12, 2021.
