On the morning of January 18, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade hosted the academic year wrap-up ceremony for the 2+2 International Joint Program in Chinese Language. The event was organized to review the outcomes of training activities, international exchanges, and experiential learning, while also recognizing and rewarding students who demonstrated outstanding effort and academic achievement throughout the past academic year.
Distinguished guests attending the ceremony included Mr. Xu Zhou, Deputy Consul General of the Chinese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City. Representing Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade were Dr. Thai Doan Thanh, Vice Rector; Mr. Dang Tan Hiep, Head of the Office of International Cooperation; and Dr. Le Thanh Long, member of the academic team for the 2+2 International Joint Program in Chinese Language. Partner enterprises were represented by Mr. Wu Xiaohui, Chief Representative of CNC Shandong in Vietnam; the Director of Han Viet Stars Company; and Ms. Song Jing Hui, HR and Administration Director of Shun Dao Industry Company Limited (Vietnam). The event was also attended by faculty and staff from the Office of International Cooperation, along with all students of the 2+2 International Joint Program in Chinese Language.
Delivering a speech at the ceremony, Dr. Thai Doan Thanh emphasized: "The establishment of the 2+2 program not only opens up a new training pathway but also reaffirms the University's commitment to connecting with international resources, enabling students to access advanced academic environments and expand their career development opportunities in the context of accelerating internationalization and globalization."

Also at the ceremony, Mr. Xu Zhou, Deputy Consul General of the Chinese Consulate General, delivered a speech stating: "We are pleased to note that, starting from 2024, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade and Ludong University, China, have jointly implemented the '2+2' international joint training program in Chinese Language. This program has opened a clear pathway for Vietnamese youth to access quality higher education, while also establishing a solid foundation for young people of China and Vietnam to enhance exchanges and deepen mutual understanding. The program scale has grown from 40 students in the first intake to 260 students in the second intake. This rapid development not only reflects the continuous efforts of the faculty and staff of both universities but also clearly shows the strong interest of Vietnamese youth in Chinese culture, language, and higher education."
Mr. Xu Zhou, Deputy Consul General, expressed his appreciation for the joint efforts of both sides.
During the past academic year, the 2+2 International Joint Program in Chinese Language has implemented a wide range of activities in a coordinated manner across enrollment, training, academic affairs, and student engagement, thereby gradually enhancing the program's quality and effectiveness.
Commendations and awards were presented to students with outstanding academic achievements in the 2024-2025 academic year, in recognition of their remarkable efforts and accomplishments. Beyond academic performance, the Office of International Cooperation and the University also recognized and commended students who actively participated in admissions consulting activities, as well as various events and movements organized by the department and the University, contributing to the promotion of the University's image, values, and dynamic spirit.

Within the framework of the program, a talk show titled "Effective Learning in Chinese Language – Perspectives from Experts, International Employers, and Senior Students" was also held. The talk show provided students with practical insights, multi-dimensional perspectives, and valuable experiences regarding effective learning methods, career orientation, and development opportunities in the field of Chinese Language.

The ceremony concluded with many meaningful highlights, recognizing the outstanding academic and training achievements of students throughout the past academic year. The Wrap-up Ceremony for the 2+2 International Joint Program in Chinese Language was not only an occasion to review and reward achievements from the past academic year but also an opportunity for the University to reflect on the results attained in training activities and to outline tasks and objectives for the coming period. It also reaffirmed the University's role in fostering international connections, creating favorable conditions for students to learn and develop in the context of accelerating globalization.
