On the evening of February 27, 2024, at Hall C, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade (HUIT) organized the event “Study Abroad Fair and Korea Scholarships” with the participation of over 200 students. The event provided an opportunity for students to learn more about scholarships, academic opportunities, and experiences in the land of Kimchi.

The event was attended by Mr. Dang Tan Hiep - Head of the Office of International Cooperation, and Ms. Hoang Thi Thoa - Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. From Jeonbuk National University (JBNU), Mr. Jun Hyungmin - Deputy Head of the Department of JBNU, along with lecturers and heads of departments from JBNU also participated.
In his opening speech, Mr. Jun Hyungmin stated: “Thank you to the HUIT for creating conditions and opportunities for the JBNU to meet and connect with students. With the desire to develop international orientation, we aim to help students gain more skills and experiences in this era of globalization.”

In his speech at the event, Mr. Dang Tan Hiep provided an overview of the HUIT, emphasizing the institution’s international education standing. This occasion also served as an opportunity for students to explore master’s and doctoral scholarships in Korea. He expressed hope that the students would gain valuable information and knowledge to guide their future steps through this event.

JBNU is one of the top 10 national universities in South Korea, with 1,060 official professors and 1,400 staff members. Currently, there are approximately 22,000 students enrolled, including 18% pursuing postgraduate studies and around 2,000 international students. The program introduced various policies and support for Vietnamese students interested in pursuing master's and doctoral degrees at JBNU.

Q&A session
The atmosphere during the exchange session was lively and enthusiastic. Students expressed a strong desire to absorb more knowledge and skills during their study abroad experience in Korea. In addition to the exchange and learning opportunities, students also participated in a mini-game where they had the chance to win attractive prizes such as the Apple Watch SE, Cuckoo electric rice cooker, Philips foot massager, and many other appealing gifts.
