On March 24, 2021, 19 students of off-shore program in Food Science and Nutrition between Ho Chi Minh City University of Food Industry (HUFI) and Meiho University (Taiwan) gathered at Tan Son Nhat international airport for their flight to Taiwan.   

Attending the seeing-off meeting were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoan, President and Secretary of HUFI Party Committee; Dr. Dang Tan Hiep, Dean of the Institute of International Training and Cooperation (IICT), all IICT staffs and together with student parents.

At the airport, the representatives of HUFI praised the efforts of the students during two years at HUFI and wished them to have a safe trip to Taiwan as well as to gain a lot of useful knowledge in a new international educational environment. Besides, he also affirmed that HUFI would always accompany them during their studies at Meiho University.

These students were expected to Taiwan in September 2020 for their 2nd phase study However, because of COVID-19 epidemic, they had been postponed their study trip up to now. They have been received the Overseas Student Entry Permit Certificates to continue their studies at Meiho University.

The international joint programs with Meiho University have been run for five years, providing advantages for students with international standard knowledge and opportunities in jobs or master admissions. According to these joint programs, the students study two years at HUFI, last two years in Taiwan and achieve Meiho University’s  diploma.
