On March 10, students from the International Joint 2+2 Program in Chinese Language at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade paid a visit to the Consulate General of China in Ho Chi Minh City. The visit aimed to enhance students’ understanding of diplomatic relations, cultural exchange, and economic cooperation between Vietnam and China.
During the visit, the student delegation was warmly received by Mr. Xu Zhou, Deputy Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Ho Chi Minh City. He shared insights into the functions and activities of the Consulate General, as well as the prospects for bilateral cooperation between the two countries. He also emphasized the important role of the younger generation in preserving and strengthening the Vietnam–China friendship.
The visit offered engaging experiences as HUIT students participated in interactive mini-games designed to deepen their understanding of history and bilateral relations. This activity not only helped broaden their academic knowledge but also enhanced communication skills, laying a solid foundation for international integration.
Students also had the opportunity to explore the working environment of the Consulate General, learn about cultural events, technological products, and China’s modern infrastructure. In addition, they joined interactive activities that provided further insights into the history of diplomatic relations between the two nations.
Moreover, the visit created opportunities for students to learn about bilateral trade through presentations on export products between Vietnam and China. Speakers shared information on key export commodities as well as the role of Chinese-invested factories in Vietnam within the global supply chain.
The program once again delivered meaningful and engaging experiences through interactive activities, helping students gain a deeper understanding of bilateral relations. It served as both an academic enrichment opportunity and a platform to develop essential skills for global integration.
This event was part of a series of initiatives connecting students with real-world experiences, demonstrating the university’s commitment to training high-quality human resources to meet the demands of the global labor market.
