On May 26, 2020, a meeting focused on technology transfer cooperation between HUFI and Can Gio district was took place at Ho Chi Minh City University of Food Industry (HUFI).

Those who attended the meeting were:

To Can Gio district People's Committee: 

Mr. Ho Ngoc Thien - Head of the delegation, Head of Economic Division of Can Gio district People's Committee; ·

Mr. Van Cong That- Chairman of Can Gio Business Association.

And leaders of Long Hoa, An Thoi Dong communes, Can Gio Business Cooperatives.

From HUFI, there were:

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoan – President;

And representatives of HUFI’s offices and faculties.

In the meeting, HUFI introduced majors training in university, and more particularly talked about cuisine and tourism industry, transfer of seafood and aquaculture processing technology, agricultural products as well as analysis – testing food safety. Lecturers then presented some projects with practical technologies agreeing with Can Gio district’s development. On behalf of Presidential Board, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoan commanded the involved units to provide supports People's Committee and enterprises of Can Gio district in technology transfer consultation and local training courses.
