On the afternoon of March 12, 2024, the Farmer’s Union of Kien Giang Province in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade (HUIT) organized a ceremony to sign a cooperation agreement on training, capacity building, scientific research, and entrepreneurship-related activities.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Do Tran Thinh, Chairman of the Farmer’s Union of Kien Giang Province; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoan, President of the HUIT.

President Nguyen Xuan Hoan provided an overview of the HUIT and related activities in training, scientific research, and entrepreneurship. He stated that cooperation with the Farmer’s Union of Kien Giang Province would contribute to increasing the value of Kien Giang’s agricultural products.

At the signing ceremony, Mr. Do Tran Thinh, Chairman of the Farmer’s Union of Kien Giang Province, expressed his hope that the signing of the cooperation agreement would open new opportunities for farmers to access and apply science and technology to production and business.

Mr. Do Tran Thinh further shared that by enhancing training, capacity building, scientific research, and promoting entrepreneurship, positive changes will be made to the landscape of agriculture and rural areas. This will create an entrepreneurial ecosystem for farmers and young, innovative individuals, better meeting the demands of the global market.

The meeting took place in a respectful and friendly atmosphere. Representatives from both sides also expressed hope that, in the near future, they would actively exchange information and work together to develop and implement cooperation plans within the framework of the memorandum of understanding, with the expectation of bringing many social benefits.
