The First International Conference on Economics - ICE 2023 was held on March 18, 2023, at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Food Industry (HUFI). The event attracted participants from 22 domestic and abroad universities and colleges with more than 109 presentations from experts, scholars, and researchers from numerous countries.
With the theme, “Big Data, Digital Transformation in Economics, Finance, Banking, and Tourism” the conference discussed current economic issues, especially the application of technology and Big Data.

According to Vice President Bui Hong Dang, this was the first time that HUFI has organized an international conference on economics. This conference was considered a place for sharing ideas in economics.
“ICE 2023 intended as a forum for scholars and researchers to present and discuss current economic issues, especially in the application of technology and big data in various business aspects of our economy today”, Vice President said.

There were more than 109 presentations, focusing on topics such as E-Commerce and Digital Marketing, Finance and Banking, Digital Economy and Digital Transformation, Business Administration and Strategy, Local Economy and Economic Development, and Green and Sustainable Economy with 05 presentations receiving a lot of attention from researchers and major technology companies and enterprises currently.

The conference provided many opportunities for economic cooperation and communication with domestic and abroad businesses, universities, and colleges. The ICE 2023 marked the milestone in the development of HUFI, which was a premise for conference events in the future.
