On December 13, 2025, the final round of the Food Innovation and Development 2024 competition, themed “The Future of Food,” will take place at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade (HUIT), bringing together teams from 27 universities, colleges, and academies across the country.

 

To achieve the goal of enhancing the innovation capacity of students in the field of Food Technology and related industries in the food value chain, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade (HUIT), in collaboration with the Vietnam Association of Food Science and Technology (VAFoST), the National Center for Innovation and Startup Support (NSSC), the Global Innovation & Technology Platform (GITP), and the BambuUp innovation networking platform, is organizing the “Food Innovation and Development 2025” competition with the theme “The Future of Food”.

 

FID 2025 is a national food product development competition aimed at fostering young talent in Vietnam's food industry, seeking practical new products for the market, and meeting the research needs of businesses. With the participation of over 27 universities, colleges, and academies, this will be the largest competition for students in Food Technology, Biotechnology, and Post-Harvest Technology nationwide. The competition aims to raise awareness among students, stakeholders, and society as a whole about issues such as food security, green agriculture trends, and combating climate change.
