On December 17, 2025, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), in collaboration with Hanoi University, successfully organized the 2025 National Conference on Educational Sciences. The theme of the conference was "Developing Educational Sciences in the Era of Digital Transformation: Challenges, Opportunities, and Strategic Orientations." The event attracted nearly 300 delegates from across the country.

In his opening speech, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Phuc highly commended the active response from the scientific community, noting the participation of over 150 educational institutions and more than 200 submitted papers.

He emphasized that the coming period requires strong dedication from educational scientists through rigorous, objective, and highly applicable research. This is particularly crucial given the profound impacts of Digital Transformation, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Educational Technology (EdTech). These efforts aim to fulfill the goals of Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo, striving for Vietnam to possess a modern, equitable, and high-quality national education system that ranks among the top 20 globally by 2045.

The morning session featured a plenary program with the participation of five keynote speakers, who are leading experts in the field, along with five policy-oriented presentations focusing on the development of educational science, teacher training innovation, quality accreditation and university governance, digital capacity development, and educational technology. In the afternoon, parallel sessions were held across four specialized subcommittees: Psychology and Human Development (Subcommittee 1); Modern Theories in Curriculum Development (Subcommittee 2); Educational Policy and Management (Subcommittee 3); and Educational Technology, Digital Transformation, and AI Applications (Subcommittee 4). Outstanding papers were selected for publication in the conference proceedings with an ISBN.

In addition, the exhibition area featuring educational science and technology products and models attracted significant attention from delegates, helping to spread the value and impact of educational science to the wider community.

The delegation from Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade participated in the conference with the presence of Dr. Thái Doãn Thanh, Vice Rector of the University; Dr. Lê Thị Linh Giang, Deputy Director of the Center for Quality Management; and Ms. Phan Thị Phương Thảo, M.A., Specialist at the Center for Quality Management. Their participation affirmed the University’s commitment to linking educational science research with practical management and the development of higher education in the context of digital transformation.

Notably, the paper by the authors’ group from Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, entitled “Developing the Internal Quality Assurance System of Universities in Vietnam,” was selected by the Organizing Committee for publication in the National Conference proceedings with an ISBN. This recognition marks an acknowledgment of the academic quality and contemporary relevance of the study on higher education quality assurance in the digital era.

This year’s conference was not only an occasion for academic exchange and for updating research strategies and digital transformation solutions in education, but also a forum to promote empirical research and the application of technology in education; strengthen connections between research, policy, and practice; and foster innovation in curricula, teaching methods, and educational governance to meet the country’s development needs in the digital age.
