On the morning of March 19, 2026, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cà Mau Province, a delegation of Ho Chi Minh City leaders led by Mr. Nguyễn Phước Lộc, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, organized a ceremony to present funding for the construction of Great Solidarity Houses and other social welfare works in Cà Mau Province. As part of this meaningful program, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade donated VND 80,000,000 to support the construction of one Great Solidarity House. Representing the University at the event was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Xuân Hoàn, President of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade.

The donation to support the construction of a Great Solidarity House was a practical contribution, joining Ho Chi Minh City’s efforts to care for policy beneficiary families, people with meritorious service, poor households, and those facing housing difficulties in Cà Mau Province. This was not only material support, but also a sincere gesture of sharing, reflecting the University’s sense of responsibility toward the community, as well as its tradition of compassion and solidarity.

 

According to the program, during this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City delegation presented a total of VND 880 million to build 11 Great Solidarity Houses for policy beneficiary families, people with meritorious service, and poor households in Cà Mau Province. The joint contributions of organizations, institutions, and individuals have helped further spread the spirit of solidarity and mutual support, while also reaffirming the close and meaningful relationship between Ho Chi Minh City and Cà Mau Province over many years.

Continuing its tradition of accompanying social welfare activities, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade has always paid close attention to and actively participated in community-oriented programs, especially those supporting disadvantaged people. The donation to build one Great Solidarity House in Cà Mau Province once again affirmed the University’s role and social responsibility, not only in education and training, but also in joining hands for the sustainable development of the community.

 

Through this meaningful activity, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade hopes to help disadvantaged households gain more stable housing conditions, feel secure in working and producing, and gradually improve their lives. At the same time, this was also an occasion to spread the positive image of the University’s staff members, lecturers, employees, and workers, who have always actively responded to community and social welfare movements.

Immediately after the donation ceremony, the delegation continued to attend the inauguration ceremony of two rural transport bridges in Thới Bình Commune, contributing to the improvement of local civil infrastructure and creating more favorable conditions for travel and trade for local residents. These practical activities once again affirmed the spirit of “Compassionate Ho Chi Minh City, for the whole country and together with the whole country,” while also helping strengthen the great national unity block
