However, under the current reality, space conditions remain limited and have not fully met the needs of learning and research. This continues to be a major concern for the leadership collective, who even, to some extent, feel apologetic toward the learners.”

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoan also expressed his hope that, once the project is implemented in a coordinated manner, HUIT will gradually realize its goal of bringing all students, lecturers, and training activities together into a modern, centralized, and worthy campus space, thereby creating a solid foundation for sustainable development in the future.

Mr. Le Van Tan, representing the University, presented an overview of the project’s scale, implementation roadmap, and the plan for compensation and site clearance work.

During the ceremony, Mr. Le Van Tan, representing the University, presented an overview of the project’s scale, implementation progress, and the plan for compensation and site clearance. The information shared clarified the implementation roadmap, demonstrating the University’s thorough preparation and long-term development orientation for the coming period.

With an investment scale approaching USD 1 billion, the project is expected to become one of the strategic milestones of Vietnamese higher education in the coming decade (Pre-concept version).

According to the plan, the project will be implemented over the period from 2026 to 2030 on an area of approximately 25.97 hectares, with the goal of developing a centralized, integrated, and modern university model capable of accommodating 35,000 to 40,000 students in the future.

Under the master plan, the project will be developed on a total area of 25.97 hectares and consists of two main components:

  • HUIT Campus: covering 25.97 hectares, with a total estimated investment of approximately VND 18.5 trillion
  • Industry and Trade International School: covering 2.25 hectares, with a total estimated investment of approximately VND 957 billion

In addition, the project includes key infrastructure items such as:

  • Resettlement area: approximately 3.25 hectares
  • Underground technical infrastructure works (power lines): estimated cost of approximately VND 392 billion

Overall, this investment structure brings the total project value to approximately VND 19.849 trillion, equivalent to nearly USD 1 billion, laying the foundation for the development of an integrated and articulated educational ecosystem spanning from general education to university level within one unified campus.

In terms of design, the university complex is planned in a synchronized manner with five high-rise buildings (including 2 basement levels and 20 above-ground floors), creating a modern architectural identity while optimizing functional use. Among them, the 20-storey Administration Building will serve as the central hub for governance and academic activities, while the functional blocks will be flexibly arranged to support teaching, research, practice, and innovation.

The project also integrates key components such as a modern dormitory area to meet students’ residential needs, together with a resettlement area of approximately 4 hectares, ensuring harmony between the development of educational infrastructure and the stabilization of local residents’ lives.

Beyond merely expanding in scale, the project also aims to establish an integrated and articulated educational ecosystem, where learners can develop continuously from the general education level to university within the same international-standard environment.

The entire implementation schedule is built on the principle of ensuring compliance with legal regulations on public investment, while also requiring close coordination between the University and local authorities at every stage of execution. Compensation, site clearance, and resettlement activities will be carried out in parallel, safeguarding residents’ rights and creating a solid social foundation for the project.

The signing ceremony was conducted in a solemn atmosphere, reflecting the unity, determination, and strong commitment to close cooperation between the two parties.
