On March 5, 2025, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade (HUIT) hosted a working session with Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages (TW). This meeting provided an opportunity for both institutions to discuss potential collaborations in scientific research, student and faculty exchange programs, and the implementation of advanced training programs.

Representing Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages were Mr. Richard Cheng, Assistant Professor of the English Department and Director of the International Student Affairs Office, and Ms. Phạm Thị Thúy Lê, a Master's student in the English Department.
From HUIT, the session was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Xuân Hoàn, President of the university, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đặng Tấn Hiệp, Head of the International Cooperation Office.

During the meeting, both parties discussed research collaboration, student and faculty exchange programs, and co-organizing academic conferences. A key focus was on short-term exchange programs, internships, and dual-degree programs in English Language, Chinese Language, and Business Administration. Exchange students at Wenzao Ursuline University will receive 180 hours of free Chinese language instruction and have the opportunity to be mentored by professors from the host institution.
The discussion also highlighted the Chinese Language Summer Camp in Taiwan for students from Thailand, which includes a scholarship of 6,000 NT per week, funded by the Ministry of Education of Taiwan. This program combines language learning with cultural experiences and offers opportunities for students in Southeast Asian Studies from Taiwan to intern or participate in exchange programs in Vietnam.
Both universities look forward to developing new collaborative programs in the future.
The session was conducted in a spirit of openness and cooperation, paving the way for promising future collaborations between the two universities. This marks a significant step in expanding educational opportunities, enhancing students' skills, and preparing them for global career prospects.
