On March 10, students from the International 2+2 Chinese Language Program at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade (HUIT) visited the Chinese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City. The program aimed to enhance understanding of diplomatic relations, cultural exchange, and economic cooperation between Vietnam and China.
During the visit, the delegation was welcomed by Mr. Xu Zhou, Deputy Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Ho Chi Minh City. He shared insights into the activities of the Consulate General and discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation between the two nations. Mr. Xu emphasized the vital role of the younger generation in preserving and strengthening the Vietnam-China friendship.
The visit offered students engaging experiences through interactive mini-games that deepened their knowledge of history and bilateral relations. This was not only an opportunity to expand their expertise but also a chance to improve communication skills, laying a strong foundation for future international integration.
Students had the chance to explore the Consulate General's workspace and learn about Chinese cultural events, technological advancements, and modern infrastructure. Additionally, they participated in interactive games that provided a deeper understanding of the history of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The visit also introduced students to bilateral trade, featuring a presentation on key consumer goods exported between Vietnam and China. Speakers shared insights into major export products and the role of Chinese factories in Vietnam’s global supply chain.
This event was part of a series of activities connecting students with real-world experiences, reflecting HUIT’s commitment to training high-quality human resources to meet labor market demands in the era of global integration.
