On November 18, 2024, at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, President Nguyễn Xuân Hoàn welcomed and worked with a delegation from Ludong University, China, led by President Li Heliang. The visit aimed to strengthen the cooperative relationship between the two universities in education and research.

During the meeting, President Nguyễn Xuân Hoàn extended a warm welcome to the Ludong University delegation. He expressed his belief that the 2+2 international joint training program would serve as a foundation for both institutions to leverage their strengths and establish a sustainable partnership in the future. The leadership of both universities discussed cooperation opportunities beyond joint training and international degree programs, focusing on expanding collaboration in scientific research, student and faculty exchange programs, and diversifying international education models.

As part of the visit, the Ludong University delegation also met with the first cohort of students enrolled in the 2+2 international joint program between Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade and Ludong University. This meeting provided Ludong University’s leadership with an opportunity to directly experience the teaching methods and learning environment in the initial phase of the program in Vietnam.

This year, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade continues to enroll 200 students in the 2+2 international joint program in the Chinese Language major. This collaborative training program with Ludong University grants a bachelor's degree issued by Ludong University.
